A set of sterling silver flatware by Towle. These pieces are in the Silver Flutes pattern, designed in 1941 by Harold E. Nock. The collection includes nine dinner forks, nine salad forks, eight iced tea spoons, seventeen teaspoons, nine soup spoons, nine flat handle butter spreaders, one flat handle master butter, one cream ladle, one gravy ladle, two tablespoons, one pierced tablespoon, one sugar spoon, a tomato server, a bon bon spoon, a cold meat serving fork, a pickle/olive fork, and a lemon fork. They are presented with eight dinner knives, a pie server, and a cheese knife with stainless steel blades and hollow handles. These pieces are accompanied by a single teaspoon by Wallace in the 1926 Antique pattern with a monogrammed ‘S’ to the handle. All of the pieces are presented in a wooden flatware chest with brass tone handles and painted with black and yellow scrolled foliate and flower designs on the lid. The total approximate weight, excluding the pieces with hollow handles and stainless steel blades, is 84.575 ozt.
