Item Details
A circa 1910s antique Japanese handwoven black silk crested uchikake kimono. The kimono is hand decorated in a yuzen resist dyed design with metallic gold tone surihaku leaf and embroidered accents. The design features an intricate pastel hued phoenix with long tail feathers among peony and chrysanthemum motifs. Kamon crests are present to the front, the backs of the sleeves and the back shoulders. The collar is lined in rinzu silk, the body is lined in white silk and the hem is padded.
