Circa 1900s Antique Japanese Handwoven Silk Uchikake Kimono
Item Details
A circa 1900s antique Japanese handwoven off-white rinzu silk uchikake kimono. The kimono is hand decorated in elaborate silk thread embroidery and silver and gold tone shusu couching. The design features a flower cart to the back shoulders surrounded by plum blossoms, chrysanthemums, bamboo, clouds, pine trees and folding fans. The interior is lined in red silk crepe and the hem is padded.
Condition
- a few stains present on the front, sleeves, and near shoulders, stain to the lining.
