A Victorian Eastlake recamier or fainting couch, having a walnut frame with incised and gilt carving. The scalloped crest rail is above a plush red velvet upholstered back, stationary reclined arm and seat. The couch has an incised arm panel, seat frame and bracket feet, on porcelain casters. Circa 1880s.
