A handwoven Indo-Persian wool soumak area rug features a central palmette design with vinery and medallions of floral and palmette elements in blue, green, cream and copper tones. The field is framed by a blue carnation meander style primary border in the field colors. The secondary border has similar and coordinating palmette designs in the same color palate. There is a dense, short wool fringe at each end and the piece is not labeled.
