An Emperor mantel clock with moon phase dial. The clock is a carriage style and features a walnut wood case with a hinged glass front door that displays a moon phase clock with a blue sky and brass stars under a silvertone dial with two hemispheres on the base. The dial sits above a brass face with a decorative brass center that displays three brass key arbors. The face features a silver tone chapter ring with black Roman numerals and serpentine hands and raised brass spandrels with faces surrounded by acanthus leaves and scrollwork. Other features of the clock include a brass handle on the bonnet, a Franz Hermle two jeweled movement, Westminister chimes on the quarter and the hour, a chime silence lever and the clock stands on a plinth style base with bracket feet. The clock is marked ‘Emperor’ on the face.
