Vintage Swedish Pine Hand Painted Trunk

A vintage Swedish, hand-painted pine trunk, having a rectangular hinged lid embellished with metal corner brackets and a hand-painted folk art composition. The trunk case has black metal corner protectors, metal keyhole escutcheon, and painting. The sides have black metal hinged handles and the trunk opens to an unfinished pine well with a sliding compartmentalized tray and painting to the inside lid. The trunk has a glossy finished exterior and rises on bracket feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.

Condition

has some wear and discoloration to the finish.
