A trio of vintage Bill Schiffer plastic pins with Swarovski crystals. This assortment features a house shaped pin comprised of plastic and accented with multi colored rhinestones, a leaf shaped pin in a similar style, and a seahorse covered in rhinestones in various tones of green. Each piece is signed and date by the artist, and range from 1987-1999.

Born in New York, Bill Schiffer rose to prominence as a painter and sculptor in the early 1980’s. Though he still works in many two dimensional and three dimensional art mediums, Schiffer is most well known for his unique handcrafted jewelry, which he started designing after a foray experimenting with wearable art in the fashion scene. Bill Schiffer’s art and jewelry has been shown in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris, as well as major museums in Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States. His work has been featured in publications including Vogue, Elle, Bazaar, Women’s Wear Daily, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan.
