A Japanese style katana sword with scabbard on stand. This piece features a single-edged, slightly curved blade leading to a brass-toned cross-shaped tsuba guard with heart shapes in the corners. The white and silver mosaic grip has a caramel-colored tsuka-ito wrap over a brass-toned menuke ornament and mekugi peg, and terminating in an etched brass-tone kashira end cap with hanger. The wooden saya scabbard has a black and red mottled finish, with a saya-ito scabbard wrap to match the grip, two etched brass-toned and leather ashi hangers with a green, orange, and white sageo cord to match the throat wrap, and an etched brass semegane scabbard ring and sayajiri butt cap. Also included is wooden floor stand with a green painted finish, and a purple and white brocade cloth cover.
