Japanese Style Kabuto Helmet on Display Block
Item Details
A Japanese style kabuto helmet on a display block. This display piece features a black dome with studs and gold piping in rows, and a bronze-tone tehen kanamono ornament to the top, with matching bronze-toned arrow-shaped ornaments to the front and a maedate crest to the front. Two fukigaeshi ear flaps and a mabizashi brow are decorated with a red and black pattern including Japanese characters referencing the date 1352, the year of the defeat and death of renowned Samurai general Ashikaga Tadayoshi. Also included is a red chin cord, wooden stand, and a black presentation block with bronze-toned corner brackets.
