An antique English William IV mahogany hall chair with painted heraldry, circa 1840-50. The chair comprises a molded, straight crest rail with a ‘T’ shaped back support including a painted crest featuring a hand holding a laurel wreath with the words ‘Absque Dedecore’. Additional elements include a thick molded apron and heavily turned front legs.

Condition

- separation to one panel on the back; crack through the center of the seat; missing trim sections; chip to the back of one leg; large scuff to front of one leg; nicks and scratches throughout.
