"Forward March!" World War I Photo Essay and Military Themed Publications

A collection of military themed publications featuring a two-volume set of Forward March!, a photo essay of World War I published 1934-5 by The Disabled American Veterans of the World War. Also included are volume two, parts one and three, of government issued Report of the Secretary of War delivered at the second session of the fiftieth congress and published in 1888 (of four volumes). Beyond the Lines: of A Yankee Prisoner Loose in Dixie by Captain John J. Geer, published by J. W. Daughaday of Philadelphia, 1864; a compilation of newspaper accounts regarding the Civil War by Edmund N. Hatcher, titled, The Last Four Weeks of the War published in 1892 by The Cooperative Publishing Co. of Columbus, Ohio; Victory Through Air Power regarding World War II by Major Alexander P. De Seversky published in 1943 by Garden City Publishing Co. (First Edition); The Year of Decision 1846 on American Continentalism by Bernard DeVoto (1942-43, first edition with dust jacket); and two novels: Proud New Flags by F. van Wyck Mason (1951) and In the Company of Eagles by Ernest K. Gann (1966). Completing the lot are two pieces of wartime themed sheet music dating to 1918, and an April 30, 1945 Life magazine titled, ’Life’s War Artists’. Grouping includes ten books, one magazine and two pieces of sheet music.
