Eight Chippendale Style Mahogany Dining Chairs

Item Details

A set of eight Chippendale style, mahogany dining chairs having shell carved crest rails with prominent ears over pierced slats, flanked by stop-fluted stiles. The cushioned seats are upholstered in a tone-on-tone white brocade fabric. The chairs rise on front cabriole legs with carved knees and terminating on claw and ball feet joined by an apron with a centered carved shell. The armchair features shaped arms with scrolled handholds. Companion to table listed under 18NAS022-003. There are no visible maker’s marks.
