Item Details
A watercolor painting on paperboard attributed to listed artist Gottlieb Kaegi (1856 – 1930) of a landscape scene. This Impressionist style painting is rendered with pooled pigment to depict a wide expanse of grassy fields accented with a plumage of trees clustered in a canopy, which obscures a town to the distance. To the lower right corner is a painted signature. The painting is presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire and personal inscriptions to the verso.
Condition
- some discoloration to areas of sky particularly to upper right; chips to frame at upper right and lower left corners.
