An original oil painting on canvas Gathering Nuts by artist J. Cheney. This Folk Art style painting depicts a young woman with blonde hair wearing period dress beside a large Saint Bernard dog in an autumnal landscape. This painting is signed in black to the lower right. The piece is presented in a wood frame with a painted border of leaves, flowers, and vines. The verso of this piece is inscribed with the title, artist’s name, and date (1983). It is equipped to hang.
