Item Details

An antique white painted, two-piece Victorian, circa 1870, fall-front desk having a rectangular beveled top with decorative backsplash and side brackets over a hinged desktop. The interior is equipped with multiple shelves, vertically divided cubbies, and two small drawers. The base is fitted with a drawer over a set of cabinet doors flanked by shaped rails and carved medallions. The drawer has a cast metal keyhole escutcheon and two raised, shaped panels. The cabinet doors have raised panels and open to a shelved interior. The piece is embellished with newer brass-plated lion head ring pulls and rests on a plinth base. There are no visible maker’s marks.
