Reproduction Medieval Great Helm

Item Details

A reproduction medieval-style great helm. This type of great helm evolved in, and is closely identified with, the Crusades in the late twelfth century, and remained in use into the fourteenth. It consists of a roughly cylindrical form made of four steel sheets riveted at the sides, topped with a fifth to form a flat-topped crest. Two dozen breathing holes perforate the front, and narrow eyeslits are accented by a cross fleury plate.
