A late 20th-century Chinese gouache painting on textured paper. The piece depicts a red, black and white bird perched near bamboo plants on a flowering branch with delicate white and yellow blooms. The work is inscribed in black ink to the lower left and marked with a red seal. It is presented under glass and layered matting in a bamboo-motif wooden frame with gold tone and silver tone finish, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
