Antique 1872 Model US Cavalry Saber by Frank De Caro of New York

Item Details

An antique 1872 model US cavalry saber by Frank De Caro of New York City. Introduced in 1872 but produced beginning in 1876, this saber was the standard issue for US cavalry officers until 1902. The oval counterguard bears a sunburst pattern, with an eagle and stars to the grip side. Also included is the original steel scabbard with two brass suspension rings and a flattened chape.
