A mola cloth panel. Mola are shirt panels in the traditional dress of the Guna people in Panama and Columbia. These panels are made using hand-stitching, reverse appliqué, and embroidery of brightly colored fabric in striped patterns. This piece depicts a pair of birds facing one another in a field of arranged colored lines. It has unfinished edges, is unsigned, and is presented unframed.
