Period Art Deco Sterling and Glass Beaded Necklace and Brooch Pairing

Item Details

An Art Deco necklace with black glass beads and a sterling filigree clasp hallmarked ‘Sterling,’ joined by one duette clip brooch. The converter brooch is a pair of dress clips affixed to an adapter pin, a typical feature and innovation of Art Deco jewelry. Jewelers made these adapters so that dress clips could be worn as a brooch, or removed from the adapter to be worn on hand bags, scarves and coats. Total approximate sterling weight of necklace, inclusive of all materials, is 0.695 ozt.

  • All diamond and gemstone grading is done under GIA standards as the mounting permits, where gemstones are present; where mountings impede accurate measurements, (estimated) dimensions are provided. All weights and measurements are estimated and approximate. Industry standard and accepted treatments for gemstones are assumed unless otherwise noted (DCCREN).
