Rare Antique Pearlware Commemorative Jug
Item Details
A rare antique pearlware commemorative jug. The jug is molded with portraits of Lord Wellington and General Hill with impressed titles at the waists, and flanked by flags. The jug is colored overglaze with red, brown, ochre, black, and blue enamels, with silver lustre lining to the rim and foot. Unmarked, made in Staffordshire circa 1810.
Condition
- to fair; heavy wear from age and use; chips, wear to paint, and visible crazing.
