An oil painting on board of an abstract scene by Mathewson. The work depicts abstract architecture bordering a reflective body of water, rendered with chaotic delineations and vibrant smudges of color. The piece is signed ‘Mathewson’ in paint to the lower right. To the verso, fainted illegible inscriptions are present. The composition is presented without glass, housed in a circular wood frame with a gray and gold tone finish.
