Hamilton 21 Jewel Chronometer

A Hamilton 21 jewel chronometer, model 22, circa 1943. This instrument, used for measuring and keeping accurate time, were first developed for marine navigation, with challenges of ship motion, temperature, humidity and other variations. This Hamilton chronometer features 21 jewel movement, housed in a solid wood case with hinged lid to expose glass covering meter. Glass is also hinged to access the inside.
