Pastel on paper
A pastel and graphite drawing on paper of the Manley Homestead. This mixed media drawing depicts the aforementioned estate captured in 1894, featuring multiple stories, a small porch and red roof contained within a white picketed fence. The tight graphite linework is reinforced with looser applications of pastel. To the margins is a written inscription labeling the home. This drawing is presented under glass in a dark brown and gold tone wooden frame with hanging hardware to the verso.
Condition
- image paper is discolored; dirt and stains throughout the image area; small holes in the image paper in the upper right; brown/gold tone wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame; corner joints do not meet evenly.
