A hand-colored etching on paper titled The Putting Green after British artist Douglas Adams (1853-1920). This piece depicts two golfers and their caddies on the putting green of a golf course that borders a sea. It is signed in plate and dated 1893 to the lower right and has the artist’s name and publication information printed to the lower margin, as well as a label to the verso. The print is presented behind a double mat and glass in a wood frame.
Condition
- to Fair; discoloration on ground; warping on ground along top portion; accretion and general wear on frame; sawtooth hanger is broken from the left side.
