Vintage French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet and Scabbard
Item Details
An antique French model 1866 bayonet for a Chassepot rifle with a metal scabbard. The marks include 26534 on the crosspiece, X5984 on the scabbard, indistinct script and date 1873 along spine of blade, indistinct makers marks on blade and hand guard.

- overall wear with some pitting ot the blade
