Louis XV Style Marquetry Bombé Chest of Drawers
Item Details
A Louis XV style, marquetry bombé chest of drawers having a green marble top overhanging two drawers. The drawers and sides feature elaborate satinwood and dark walnut marquetry in floral and scrolling motifs. The drawers are fitted with cast metal foliate pulls and are flanked by ormolu that trails to the feet. The legs are joined in front by a shaped apron having a pierced mount. There are no visible maker’s marks.
