Antique Gorham Sterling Silver and Glass Decanter

Item Details

An antique Gorham sterling silver and glass decanter. The decanter has a sterling silver rim, collar and scrolled handle with a repoussé floral design, accented by scrolled acanthus leaves. The handle has an acanthus leaf thumb rest, and the collar is stamped ‘1060 Sterling’ along with the three pseudo hallmarks that were in use from c.1875 until c.1900. The glass pear shaped body has an etched geometric design of connected diamonds near the base.

Condition

- minor surface wear including marks and scratches with minimal tarnish; some minor staining to glass under handle.
