A watercolor painting on paper titled Carpet Work by J.P. Ludu. Depicted is a man working under a grass overhang on yards of red fabric. Artist’s signature to lower left corner of piece. Presented mounted on foam board and sealed in acetate.

J.P. Ludu was a cartographical draughtsman in the Lands and Surveys Department of Uganda. He painted portraits and sold them to tourists, becoming widely popular in the 50s and 60s. His birth and death dates are unknown.

- minor wear to edges of paper.
