Mid Century Erickson Art Glass Bowl with Ash Receiver
Item Details
A selection of art glass vessels featuring a hand blown bowl by Erickson Glass. This vessel features an elongated, freeform shape rendered in opaque black, cased clear to the rim. It bears an incised signature and polished pontil mark to the base, dated c. 1943-1961. It is accompanied by an ash receiver composed in transparent cobalt to green glass. It bears no discernible maker’s marks. After working at Blenko and Libbey glass, Swedish artist Carl Erickson opened his own glassworks with his brother Stephen in 1943, operating until 1961 in Bremen, Ohio.
