A Minoan style chess set from Greece. The thirty-two gray metal and brass pieces in this lot correspond to pieces on a chess board. These figures include sixteen bulls, four horses, four humans armed with swords, four ornate high-backed chairs with cross symbols, two elegantly dressed males and two females dressed in similar ancient Greek fashion. Some items are marked at the front of the base ‘Made in Greece’. The pieces have protective red felt bases. A board is not included with the set.
