Wall Mirror with Edwardian Style Gilt Frame
Item Details
A wall mirror with an Edwardian style gilt frame. The mirror has a rectangular shape and is surrounded by a wood and gesso frame with a gold-tone finish and decorative designs. The frame features gently sloping borders with carved shells and acanthus leaves in the centers with scrollwork and acanthus leaves on the corners and a beaded interior lining. The frame has a pressed wood backing and a wire for hanging with instructions on the verso. There are no apparent makers marks.
Condition
- gesso decoration on frame broken off at bottom right corner and chipped at bottom left corner.
