A Chinese wooden relief carving. This piece depicts unfurled scrolls marked with calligraphic text to either end, with figures and carefully-rendered flowers spread out in between. The work features a red finish with gold tone detailing to its raised elements. The verso of the carving is unfinished and features a length of wire for hanging.

- heavy wear to edges, raised areas, and verso; overall discoloration and rubbing to finish; large repaired crack to verso.
