A grouping of two oil paintings on canvas of still life compositions by listed artist Fernando Ruiz de Ascarza (20th-century). The works depict interior still lives with fruit. The pieces are signed by the artist to the lower right corners. The items are presented without frames.

A supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973), Ascarza is known for his figurative paintings. The artist instructed a number of regional artists during his career.
