An oil painting on masonite board by listed artist Bien-Aime Sylvain (Haiti, born 1936). The work depicts a celebration in the street in front of a church with hills and houses in the background. A woman in a white dress stands at center grabbing the back of a man holding a rope grasped by another woman. The piece is signed to the lower right corner. It is presented mounted on wood supports.

- some abrasions and marks throughout edges of painting; crack through lower wood support to verso.
