Charger with Fairy Design in Ornate Wooden and Gesso Frame

A framed late 20th-century ceramic plate. The piece features a transfer pattern depicting two fairies sitting on flower stems, bordered in patterned blue, gold tone and white. The charger is presented in an ornate wooden frame with gold tone gesso embellishments throughout, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- small chips and cracks to gesso frame; wear and accretion to frame, especially to edges and corners; frame includes note to verso that reads “No Food Use”.
