E.E. Milner Mezzotint After Joshua Reynold's "Counted Spencer"

A colored print, attributed as a mezzotint, by artist E.E. Milner, after Sir Joshua Reynold’s portrait of Countess Spencer. This carefully-rendered work depicts the smiling figure in a white dress and wide-brimmed hat, a cluster of brunette curls resting delicately on her shoulder. This print is signed in graphite to its lower right corner, and is matted under glass in an ornately-carved wooden frame with a hanging wire and notation of the artists and mediums to its verso.

Condition

- some discoloration to print and mat; damage to frame with half of “crown” along top edge missing and cracking to what remains; general wear throughout frame; heavy discoloration to verso; yellowed tape to verso.
