A watercolor painting on paper titled H. Kathrynz by listed artist Fernando Ruiz de Ascarza (20th-century). The work depicts a forest stream using expressive colors. To the bottom right, the work is signed and titled. The painting is presented matted under glass in a wooden frame.

A supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973), Ascarza is known for his figurative paintings. The artist instructed a number of regional artists during his career.
