Kathryn Tauber Oil Paintings
Item Details
A pair of oil paintings on canvas board of green seaside scenes by artist Kathryn Tauber (American; 20th century). Depicted are loosely rendered seaside vistas looking toward the shoreline where a bright, glowing city awaits. Artist’s signature is to the lower right corner of only one of the two paintings. Pieces are presented without glass in wooden frames with wire hangers to the verso.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
