An oil painting on canvas by artist Kathryn Tauber (American, 20th-century). The work depicts a figural landscape. Signed by the artist to the verso. Additionally to the verso are labels and ribbons from the piece winning the first place award during the GFWC-Bright of America Art Contest in 1990. The item is presented in a wood frame.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
