Kathryn Tauber Oil Painting
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a floral arrangement by artist Kathryn Tauber (American; 20th-century). Depicted is a loosely rendered thin-stemmed blue vase overflowing with various colors of marigolds, daisies, and more. Artist’s signature is in paint to the lower right corner of painting. Piece is presented without glass in a silver-toned wooden frame with a linen insert and a wire hanger to the verso.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
