Item Details
An oil painting on canvas dating to the mid-20th-century. The work depicts a Japanese themed still life with bamboo, cherry blossoms, a teapot and cup, a porcelain doll in kimono, and other objects. It is presented in a bronze tone composite wood frame with wire to verso for hanging purposes.
Condition
- accretions throughout painting; warping to canvas at lower center; gap between painting and frame to lower center; lower stretcher to canvas broken at center and previously repaired; chips to frame with molding loss to upper right and left; nicks, cracks, and wear throughout frame.
