Kathryn Tauber Oil Painting

Item Details

An oil painting on canvas of a forested area by artist Kathryn Tauber (American, 20th-century). The work depicts a forested area in the autumn using thick brush work and warm yellow, red, and orange tones. To the bottom left the work is signed. To the verso, a gallery label is adhered. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with decorative canvas face without glass.

Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
