An oil painting on canvas board of a sunset over the water by artist Kathryn Tauber (American, 20th-century). The work depicts two sailboats on the water with a colorful sunset using thickly applied pigment in a variety of colors. To the bottom right, the work is signed. The painting is presented in a decorative wooden frame without glass.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
