An oil painting on canvas of a still life by artist Kathryn Tauber (American, 20th-century). The work depicts a still life with a flower vase, pineapple, and a metal urn. To the bottom right, the work is signed. The painting is presented in a sloped wooden frame without glass.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.

- some wear to the edges of the frame; top right of canvas is loose in frame: top of canvas is worn; to the verso, foxing and wear to the canvas.
