An oil painting on canvas board titled Black Eyed Susans by artist Kathryn Tauber (American, 20th-century). The work depicts a still life of a vase with plump yellow blossoms. To the bottom right, the painting is signed. To the verso, a gallery label is adhered with the title of the work. The painting is presented in a gilded gold-toned wooden frame without glass.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
