An oil painting on canvas of a set of glass objects by Kathryn Tauber (American; 20th century). Depicted is a kaleidoscope of colored glass pieces arranged decoratively on a fabric covered tabletop. The artist’s signature can be found to the lower right corner in paint. Piece is presented without glass in a wooden frame with a wire hanger to the verso.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
