20th Century Oil Painting
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a beach scene, dated to the 20th-century. The work depicts crashing waves along a rocky shore. Thick pigment and rolling brush strokes are used to give the work movement throughout. The painting is presented in a white wooden frame without glass.
Condition
- to fair; some wear around the edges of the frame; bottom right of the frame is stained and shows evidence of repair; to the top left of the frame, glue residue; to the bottom right of the canvas some glue residue; craquelure to the center and left of the canvas; to the verso, some foxing and wear to the canvas.
