An oil painting on canvas board still life by artist Kathryn Tauber (American, 20th-century). The impasto style work depicts an arrangement of orange-red and white flowers in a blue pitcher. The piece is signed to the lower right corner and additionally signed to verso. It is presented in a gold tone wood frame with a wire to verso for hanging purposes.
Tauber is a regional American artist known for her still lifes and portraits. She studied under painter Fernando Ascarza (20th-century), a supposed friend of well-known Cubist Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881 – 1973). Describing herself as a hobbyist, the artist has never before presented her works to the market. EBTH is proud to offer Ms. Tauber’s works for the first time.
